Cell Phone Scanner - A Good Look Into Cell Phone Scanners and How They Work

People who are associated with law enforcement should be familiar with cell phone scanners. These essentially work as tapping devices, allowing the user to monitor phone calls made and received by people who are under surveillance. They intercept phone calls and normally use information from the scanner to further investigate on a suspect.

The mobile phone scanner is a device that is typically used for surveillance by authorities. The use or mere possession of this device by an unauthorized individual is punishable by law so you need to be very careful should you even consider getting one for yourself.

Interceptors and tapping services

Cell Phone Scanner - A Good Look Into Cell Phone Scanners and How They Work

The interceptor is a type of cell phone scanner that can pick up cellular frequencies so the user can listen in on calls that are made within a predetermined range. This device can easily be obtained via mail order. You just need to order the product from a reputable seller in Canada or England.

For cell phone scanners to work, they need a third-party company to provide them with the service. This will enable the devices to record conversations from a particular phone line, including mobile handsets at a given place and time. Scanner services are usually available as call cards that range from 250 to 500 minutes. Retrieving a recorded conversation is simply a matter of logging onto the internet and getting into the records through the access number. Scanner services and mobile phone scanners are useful for recording important calls such as conference calls with business contacts.

Heads-up

Before you purchase cell phone scanners for whatever purpose you might have, you need to verify the legality of even owning one in your state. This will ensure that you're not getting yourself into trouble. Product-wise, you want to go with a scanner that can record and play conversations back clearly.

Tips to Creating a Conference Call Phone System

Whether for personal or professional reasons, if you need to know how to create a conference call phone system, there are a few things that you are going to need to be aware of, including subjects such as conference call speaker phone and how to make a cell phone conference call.

Don't know how to set up a conference call phone system? Don't worry, the process is quite simple and will be discussed here in detail for you.

Set a Time

Tips to Creating a Conference Call Phone System

If you need to set up a conference call phone system the first thing that you are going to need to do is decide on a time and date for the phone call. Try to give the participants enough time that they will be able to fit the phone call into their schedule. Of course there may always be that last minute warning, but then again you simply can't expect everyone to be able to make it.

The great thing about a conference call is that even if some of the participants are halfway around the world, they can still join in on it simply by picking up their telephone and joining in on the conference call.

You can even be talking to the others in the conference call from the comfort of your own living room, you don't even have to leave your bed if you don't want.

Send the Invitations

The next step in setting up a conference call phone system is to send out the invitations. You are going to have to let all the people you are inviting to the call that you are requesting their presence, and it is of course crucial that you advise them on what date and time the conference call is scheduled for.

Have the Phone Call

Finally is the easiest part in setting up the conference call phone system is actually making the call. Everyone should be aware and will join in one at a time, and once all the participants are on the line, you can proceed with the call.

There are some tremendous benefits offered by conference calling, and as long as you go about it the right way, you can take full advantage of all these wonderful benefits. Use conference calling to maximize the potential of your business, and take care of matters no matter where the people are in the world that you need to talk to

- Telemedicine

Advantages and Uses of Video Conferencing

- Telecommunicatio

Advantages and Benefits of Video conferencing

Perhaps the biggest advantage or benefit video conferencing has to offer is the ability to meet with people in remote locations without incurring travel expenses or other expenses associated with face to face communication. Business meetings, educational meetings, healthcare conferences and more can all be easily conducted thanks to video conferencing technology. Individuals living in remote areas can also use video conferencing to keep in touch if you will, with the world at large.

More people are easily accessed and contacted using video conferencing. Because of this technology information and knowledge are often disseminated at more rapid rates, and collaboration between people occurs more willingly and freely. Students can take advantage of video conferencing to take classes at distant locations that would normally be unavailable. They can also take classes that will accommodate busy schedules.

Video conferencing can stimulate better brainstorming, knowledge sharing and information gathering. Businesses can use video conferencing to provide presentations to key members of an organization or to solicit new clients in a professional manner, regardless of their location. Free Conference Call Reviews and FAQs

Free conference call services on the web may sound tempting for your business, but let us look at the pros and cons of these services. The fundamentals of these services create certain limitations that can make your business suffer.

The Basics of Free Conference Calls

Free conference call services are funded primarily through advertising. In some cases, conference calls are free only for a trial period and then must be paid for. Truly free conference call providers cannot pay for proper customer service through advertising revenue alone. This is why free conferencing is usually just a hook to get customers to sign up for a paid service.

Free Conference Call Reviews and FAQs

Free Conference Call Customer Service

Consider yourself in a conferencing situation with an international client. You may experience problems with static or line noise making communication awkward. If you cannot resolve the problem quickly through customer service, only the most understanding potential clients would consider giving you a second chance later. Rescheduling because of technical issues is simply unprofessional, unacceptable and likely to cost you a client.

Unfortunately, such line noise problems are common to free conference call services. They often run on public VoIP lines that are affected by innumerable factors, in the same way that Internet transfers and cell phone calls are easily disrupted. Paid services can offer dedicated and stable lines that you can depend on to provide clear call quality at every meeting.

The Problem with Most VoIP Conference Calling Services

In traditional telephone networks, connections have a dedicated line, preventing interruptions in the line of communication. Public IP networks work differently. Information travels wherever links are available. A large file transfer can take up the bandwidth resulting in choppy signals or broken communications.

IP networks are designed with software in mind, not voice. This is why streaming content is buffered before it begins playing on your computer. The buffering allows the program to compensate for disruptions, giving a steady clear stream. This is not possible in real-time, live communications. While buffering could prevent disruption, there will always be a delay as the signal is buffered. This hampers and inhibits rapport building with the client, making it more like using a push to talk system than a two-way interface.

The Solution

Paid services can offer private, dedicated IP networks that eliminate the possibility of file transfer disruptions and other problems. The advertising revenue that free services earn is simply not enough to pay for such an infrastructure.

Home Phone Service Discount for Low Income Families

Most people are aware of government assistance programs like Food Stamps or Medicaid but did you know that there is an assistance program for your phone service? Lifeline is part of a program administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) that provides a subsidy in the form of a discount on your phone service. Lifeline will save you at least per month but typically reduces your phone bill by over .50. In addition to the monthly savings, there is also a benefit called Link-up that will pay half of your activation fees, up to .

With sustained U.S. unemployment rates above 9% for over a year now, it's not surprising that the number of Americans receiving food stamps is over 40 million and is expected to keep rising. Medicaid recipients total over 50 million. If you're one of these people, you are qualified to receive the Lifeline discount on your phone service.

Food Stamps and Medicaid aren't the only programs that qualify you for Lifeline assistance. Some states follow federal guidelines while others have their own rules. The Federal guidelines require that your total household income does not exceed 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or that you're enrolled in at least one of these programs:

Home Phone Service Discount for Low Income Families

* Medicaid
* Food Stamps
* Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
* Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8 housing)
* Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
* Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
* The National School Lunch Program's Free Lunch Program

Now that you know you qualify, how do you get it? It's easier than you might think. You don't have to go to a special government office and meet with a caseworker. You don't have to change phone service providers if you currently have service. If you currently have home phone service, call your phone company and ask to be put on the Lifeline program. They'll typically ask you to fill out and sign a simple form which you'll need to fax or send to them. The form typically asks for your name and address, and which of the qualifying programs you're enrolled in. Your signature is stating that you are telling the truth. Some states also require some form of proof of the qualifying program like your award letter.

If you don't have working home phone service, check your yellow pages for a local phone company and ask them about their Lifeline home phone service. All of your major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and Quest offer it as do most of the Competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs). Don't worry about your credit history. If you're eligible for Lifeline, you aren't required to pay a deposit if you're willing to let the provider block any toll calls from your phone. You'll still be able to make long distance calls using a calling card or some other prepaid service.

The Lifeline discount is applicable to just one phone line per household. And, the Link-up subsidy is a one-time benefit. So, it's not a good idea to keep changing providers since you'll only get the discount once. You may get away with receiving Link-up more than once by going to a different carrier but it's not legal for you to do so and the form that you sign to get started is your statement that you've never received Link-up before.

The Lifeline benefit can be applied to cellular service instead of home phone. There are a few cellular service providers that offer a "free government cell phone" which is actually the Lifeline program. It typically gives you between 60 and 200 minutes of service per month and a free handset which is your Link-up benefit. But, you can't get the Lifeline benefit for your cell phone if you're receiving it on your home phone, and vice-versa.

So if you're one of the over 50 million Americans receiving government assistance, call your phone service provider now and ask them about Lifeline home phone service.

International Reverse Phone Number Lookup - Reverse Lookup For International Numbers

Finding the information based on a telephone number from your own country might be easy but have you ever thought about international reverse telephone number lookup? You can probably recognize a local call right away just by looking at the phone number however when you get an international call, you might not have so many options at your disposal. There are websites that offer international reverse telephone number lookup, but most of these sites charge ridiculously high prices. One site charges up to 0 for membership and only allows you to do limited number of searches. You do not have to pay this much. There are ways to perform a reverse phone number lookup on an international number for less.

Searching for International Numbers Online

The first thing to do when you receive a phone call from an international number is of course to write down the phone number. You would then take a look at the area code or the first two or three numbers and check which country it belongs to. You can find a listing of this online and other free directory pages containing it. This will be so much easier rather than randomly looking for a number. By finding out which country the telephone number belongs to, you are easily narrowing down your search to one specific country. Once you do find the originating country, you can then start looking for reverse phone number lookup sites specific to that country. Some countries have organized directories.

International Reverse Phone Number Lookup - Reverse Lookup For International Numbers

So if you are lucky, you might be able to find a site that can ultimately help find the owner of your mysterious phone number. Like for example, if you are looking for a telephone number from the UK, you can try various online UK directories. This is one of the fastest ways that you can try and find the information you need. Keep in mind however that privacy laws are different for each country. So some countries might not have any online directory organized at all. In addition, even if they garner results, you might only get limited information, such as a name, any other information like address or any background search results will hardly be provided.

If this is too much work, then you can always try the regular reverse phone number lookup sites that you use. Most of them have international sections and can definitely assist you in conducting international reverse telephone number lookup.

Should You Disconnect Your Landline Phone Service?

Today just about everyone has a cellular telephone. Some people even have multiple cell phones: one for business use, one for personal use, and maybe even phones used for other aspects of their life. And most people still have a landline telephone in their home.

So is it really necessary to have all of those phones? Maybe you could disconnect your landline, and save a little money. Let's take a look at some of the pros and cons of each type of telephone service.

Landlines

Should You Disconnect Your Landline Phone Service?

The chief advantage of landline phone service is its reliability. You can usually be assured of getting good reception in your home. This is important, since when you need to make an emergency call, you want to be sure that you can clearly hear and be heard. Landlines have a regular monthly rate for local calls, so you don't pay a fee for each individual call in your area. This can save you money if you regularly make a lot of calls from your home. If you need to have your number listed in the phone book so people can find you, then a land line is essential. Cell phones by law cannot publish a forward telephone directory.

Cell Phones

Since cell phones use the air waves to receive and transmit conversations, they don't have good reception if there is no antenna visible from where you're calling. So there will be "dead spots" where you won't be able to use your phone. Batteries are required for cell phones, since they are not connected to a power line. If you neglect to plug your phone into a charger, it will be unusable. Of course, this can happen to your land phone also if it's cordless. There are innumerable "plans" available for using your cell phone. Many carriers allow an unlimited number of minutes, but restrict the times during which this applies. Some plans offer free long distance, but there may be a maximum number of minutes, or again, you may be restricted to certain times of day. If you travel often, or are seldom at home, then having a landline may indeed not be necessary, especially if you live alone. One big disadvantage of signing up for cell phone service it that the contract may require you to pay for the service for a minimum of a year, or even longer. Cancellation can result in heavy penalties. Landlines don't yet have this kind of requirement.

So there are a lot of factors that enter into your decision about what type of telephone service to use. Take the time to think it through before you disconnect your landline.

Proposal Writing - Proposal Writing Samples Don't Tell the Whole Story

Proposal writing samples or examples you find in a web search seem to offer a quick and easy way to prepare a proposal. This is particularly true if you are new to the job or are not familiar with how to approach the task.

You can find plenty of samples and examples on the Internet. Many universities offer samples to help you. You should be able to find samples for scientific research, grant, book, or job proposals.

While each of these disciplines requires many components in common, each focuses on rather different ways of approaching the writing assignment. The amount, type, and structure of the content can vary significantly.

Proposal Writing - Proposal Writing Samples Don't Tell the Whole Story

Business proposal writing involves more than creating or copying a format or an outline to be successful.

When reviewing the samples you find on the Internet, also consider the following tips:

1. Compare the samples or examples to see how closely they align with your business. The format and content must reflect the needs of your client's RFP and the products or services you offer.

For example, the sample might suggest a section where you could talk about free samples or trial offers. If you sell nuclear generators, this section definitely does not apply.

2. Check the credibility of the source.

For example, the source may bring outstanding credentials in sales or graphic knowledge but fall short in correct and effective business writing.

3. Include employees or partners from across disciplines to proofread your drafts and final documents multiple times.

Always include representatives from sales, marketing, customer service, finance, legal, engineering, manufacturing, and production as members of your proofreading team. Each brings specific knowledge and experience that could spot serious roadblocks to submitting a successful document.

Spotting these errors early in the creation of your proposal allows time to correct or improve your submission.

4. Study the RFP as a guide on how to structure or format your proposal. Many times, the originator of the RFP requires bidders to follow a specific structure or format. And, they will clearly spell that out in the RFP.

If they don't, you can follow the format of the RFP as your outline when writing your proposal. In some instances, you can use the Headers from the RFP as your outline.

HINT: Pay special attention to the order in which the Headers appear. They indicate what is important to the client and how the client will review your submission.

5. Develop a strong business relationship with the organization requesting the proposal. Developing that relationship, either in person or on the phone, can yield valuable insights into what the client wants, needs, and expects. This can include information you might not find in proposal writing samples.

6. Always request a post-selection meeting or review. This is particularly true if you are not awarded the contract or order. These meetings or reviews can reveal valuable information about formatting, structure, or approach you might not have found in the proposal samples.

Proposal writing samples are helpful. But your clients many times offer more and better information about what your proposal should look like or how it should be structured.
